Hook, line and sinker.

That’s how hard I fell for fishing. My grandfather took me out on his boat, I pulled in a perch, and from that day forward I wanted to spend every waking moment out on the water. After a stint in the Navy, I worked on various fishing charters until I saved up the money to buy my own. Now, I spend my days doing what I love and my evenings documenting it here.

You won’t find endless articles comparing one type of gear to another, or arguing about proper drag tension. Instead, my focus is on the elemental quality of fishing and why we derive so much pleasure from doing it in the first place. And of course, I’ll also share the occasional trick for landing your dream catch.

If you like what you read here, I hope you’ll consider joining us on a fishing trip. We sail daily from Clearwater, FL and people of all ages and skill levels are more than welcome.
