A New-ish Chapter
Hello! It’s been a while, huh.
The last couple of years have been pretty interesting, haven’t they?😳
This blog was originally designed as a space to watch big Christina and Little Mooncheez run around the world, but their suitcases have been collecting dust. One thing an iPad and a pandemic have taught us though is that when your feet are staying still, you’ve got to journey within! (At least for this duo.)
After nearly two years indoors, Little Mooncheez retired her moon cheese hat. It gave her comfort and confidence for a long time, but both she and Christina felt that she no longer needed it. Not only was it a big pain in the tush to draw, but both LMC and Christina have both relaxed a bit on dressing up. (Sometimes they miss it though.)
And if you can believe it, Little Mooncheez is as happy as can be!
Christina is doing great, too. And as we slowly switch to speaking in first person, here’s what’s been going on.
Hi all, Christina here! The fun time illustrator/snack enthusiast that has been creating your experience here on MOONCHEEZ.com — while things aren’t exactly as they used to be, here are some of the things I’ve experienced since my last post in September 2020.
December 2020 - March 2021
I got an iPad and did a 100 Day Drawing Project! I still really love this breakfast series I did of LMC ✨
October 2021
Rob and I chicken sat for some friends 🐔
February 2022
I visited America for the first time in two years!! 😭 I caught up with some friends and filled up on some of my mom’s cooking that I missed so dearly. Mmmmmmm
July 2022
I had my first birthday party since moving to Canada! We hung some balloons, BBQ’d and sat around a fire with friends. Summer vibes are the best.
August 2022
I collaborated with Stickii Club, a monthly sticker subscription box for their August “Pop” sticker box with the theme “Thirsty.” My sheet’s in the top center and it’s holographic! 💫
Here are some of my favorite characters I drew. If you’re interested in snagging your own, you can order individual sheets from the August boxes the first week of September. 😊
So those are just some of the highlights over the last two years that lead us to now. Thanks for letting me get you reacquainted with me and MOONCHEEZ. I hope to get back to posting here more regularly. It’s been too long!
